This service is great for anyone who wants deeper exfoliation. Any active acne, moles, or skin tags are simply avoided.
The Dermaplaning Treatment is a full service on its own. It includes double cleanse, dermaplane, hydrating mask, and customized finishing products. It does not include an extra exfoliation, customized mask, or the massage portion of the facial. The Add On is an addition to any customized facial you have booked. You will get a full customized facial in addition to dermaplaning.
Dermaplaning is an exfoliation technique. While it is similar to shaving that can happen at home, it is significantly different. Due to the medical grade scalpel used, we are able to remove superficial dead skin cells at a deeper level. We only remove soft vellus hair, not terminal hair (thicker hair on brows and sometimes lip or chin). Shaving will remove all hair, both vellus and terminal, at the surface level but it will grow back quickly. Waxing on the other hand removes all hair at the root. This damages the hair so it takes longer to grow back, and when it does it will be finer and softer over time. Waxing can be done with dermaplaning if needed.
